Festival Closes, Awards Announced.
The Seguin Film & Arts Festival launched with great success. The festival officially began when Seguin Mayor Betty Ann Matthies cut the ribbon outside the Palace Theatre. Immediately following, two WWII-style Hatz biplanes flew over the theatre as a prelude to the opening night screening of The Great Waldo Pepper. Throughout the weekend, many filmmakers were on hand to introduce themselves to audiences and participate in discussions of their films, while local artists showed off their talent with exhibitions and performances throughout downtown Seguin. The Seguin Cultural Arts Foundation would like to thank the sponsors whose support made this event possible, as well as the talented artists and the great audiences who came together over the entire weekend to make this event a great success.
