The Insomniac tells the story of David, a young coal miner who survives a horrific mine collapse. Suffering from amnesia, David attempts to go on with his life but is haunted by nightmares of the accident. Terrified by the dreams, David tries to stay awake, until his self-induced insomnia begins to drive him insane.
