The Swarthons are invited to a dinner party. Mrs. Swarthon is a proper woman who pines for the long-lost desire she once had as a new bride. Whilst dressing, Mrs. Swarthon's Linter arrives to aid her with dressing. Passions rise as Mrs. Swarthon is given the attention that she longs for. Class ranking assures that there can be no love each to each. A kiss of a wine glass is all that the Linter can afford as Mrs. Swarthon takes her leave for the eve.
