Frame is poetic and lovely. The film image is warm and its texture smooth. The lead character, Kelly, wants to express herself, which becomes one of the film's motifs. She encounters different situations, one involving nature, and another involving music, which in the end inspire her to create a work of art. Kelly, in her search, seems to ultimately be happiest when she is finally able to express herself through art and evoke love and happiness in others.
The film uses a metaphor of real frame to capture the composition of her situation, and then what's inside the frame transforms into a piece of art. Frame evokes strong raw emotion - sadness - curiosity - hopefulness. Kelly leads the viewer on a path of discovery. The feelings linger long after the final credits.
